Service to others

Where we can be of service to others Do you feel impotent? powerless to do anything about those things that blatently need something to be done. A child dies every 35 seconds in sub-Sahara Africa from starvation or diseases brought on by mal-nutrition; poor water and hygiene; and desperate poverty. That's about as long as it takes to write this paragraph.
I feel 'What you do for such as these you do for me' is one way of looking at it. I feel we need to help local sick & local poor as well as those further afield. I feel sure that individual Friends are working at these. I wonder if there is anything more the meeting could do as a whole. I'm sure this must have been discussed a lot in the past. And am interested to know how things are going. Even so, sometimes the best actions are individuals simple acts of kindness & charity to someone in need.
